Erasure of Memory, inkjet prints & ink on construction paper, 36 x 72in (12 panels, each panel 12 x 18in)
The project uses collected news imagery as devices of transaction and exchange that link images between the cultural landscape, media, and personal memories. There are twelve panels with two photographs on each. The two photographs on each panel are from random newspapers 38 years apart, published on my birthday, April 3. On each panel there is one photograph from 1970 and one from 2008.
